Zippe – Recognized as a Global Market Leader

A ceremony to honor the now twelve world market leaders took place on June 30, 2025 at Wertheim Castle. Lord Mayor Markus Herrera Torrez and Michael Oelmann, publisher of the publishing house “Die Deutsche Wirtschaft” and thus of the encyclopaedia of German world market leaders, awarded the representatives of the twelve companies with the “World Market Leader 2025” seal. The event brought together personalities from business, politics and society and underlined the outstanding importance of the Wertheim companies for the region and beyond. Particular recognition was given to innovative strength, loyalty to the location and cross-generational company management.

Wertheim becomes the capital of world market leaders if you compare the number of important companies with the number of inhabitants. Wertheim is the smallest location to make it into the top 10. For the latest edition of the encyclopedia, 1,470 German world market leaders were identified. They are spread across 821 cities. A comparison of the federal states shows the strength of the land of inventors and tinkerers. Baden-Württemberg leads the way with 385 world market leaders. In the ranking of cities with the most world market leaders in the “Ländle”, Wertheim has even relegated the state capital Stuttgart to 8th place with currently nine world market leaders and the regional capital Heilbronn to 9th place with eight world market leaders. Two other companies based in Wertheim are also recognized as global market leaders, but are assigned to the Group location.
