We open up professional prospects for young people by means of intensive, practical, hands-on training. We offer the following technical and commercial training as part of the dual system of vocational training:
Industrial administrator/manager
Your qualification
General Certificate of Secondary Education (Mittlere Reife) / Vocational Diploma (Fachabitur) / University Entrance Diploma (Abitur)
Training period
Normal training period 3 years – can be shortened depending on previous education. Training commences on 1st September of each year
Subjects studied
materials management, purchasing, materials administration, auditing, production management – products, manufacturing, production planning, human resources, staff development, payroll accounting, marketing, sales, distribution, accounting, financial book-keeping, management accounting
Vocational training school (Berufsschule)
Wertheim Commercial Vocational Training School, 1.5 days/week on average
Precision machinist (plant and equipment manufacture)

Certificate of Secondary Education (qualifizierter Hauptschulabschluss), General Certificate of Secondary Education (Mittlere Reife) / Technical School (Berufsfachschule) final leaving examination in metalworking
Training period
Normal training period 3.5 years – Training commences on 1st September of each year
Subjects studied
safety at the workplace, environmental protection, rational energy consumption, planning and preparation of work, use and creation of technical documentation, testing, measuring, joining, manual metal cutting and shaping, turning and milling, assembling components into modules, soldering, welding, thermal cutting, checking and assessing work
Vocational training school (Berufsschule)
Wertheim Commercial Vocational Training School, block release, 1 week/month
Electronics technician for industrial and systems engineering

Certificate of Secondary Education (qualifizierter Hauptschulabschluss)/ Technical School (Berufsfachschule) final leaving examination in electrical technology
Training period
Normal training period 3.5 years – Training commences on 1st September of each year

safety at the workplace, environmental protection, rational energy consumption, assembly and wiring of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical components into modules, adjusting, laying and connecting cables, measuring direct and alternating current, testing of components and modules, assembling and installing functionally defined components – commissioning of modules – assembly of wiring, cables and installation systems, maintaining power engineering plant
Vocational training school (Berufsschule)
Aschaffenburg Commercial Vocational Training School, block release, 1 week/month
Technical draftsman
Your qualification
General Certificate of Secondary Education (Mittlere Reife) / Technical School (Berufsfachschule) final leaving examination in technology / vocational diploma (Fachabitur)
Training period
Normal training period 3.5 years – Training commences on 1st September of each year
Subjects studied
Fundamentals of technical drawing, reading and using technical documentation, industrial and additives science, execution of technical calculations – creating technical drawings using CAD, detailing and preparation of plans and diagrams using CAD, preparation of supporting technical documentation
Vocational training school (Berufsschule)
Tauberbischofsheim Commercial and Technical Vocational Training school, approximately 1.5 days/week

Gain your Bachelor of Arts / Engineering / Science degree in various disciplines in the dual system with the DHBW (Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg). A genuine alternative for everyone who wants practical employment and wishes to earn their first salary in a company while also studying at a university. ZIPPE offers Bachelor courses in four different disciplines:

In conjunction with the Heilbronn Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Künzelsau campus of Heilbronn University we offer sandwich courses in electrical engineering:

Training period
4.5 years of alternating practical and academic training: 18 months professional training, 2 semesters basic studies (including the IHK final examination, 4 semesters main studies with practical attachments in the lecture-free periods plus work for the bachelor’s degree during the last semester
