ZIPPE glass level controllers – less wear and reliable measurement
Glass production requires precision glass level gauging. ZIPPE offers 2 versions (optical or mechanical measurement) of glass gauging systems in to achieve maintenance of the specified glass level with the utmost precision:
A halogen light source (transmitter) directs a light beam onto the glass surface in the furnace. The light beam, which is reflected from the surface of the glass, is picked up by a receiver and evaluated electronically. Changes in the level of the glass give rise to parallel shifts of the reflected light beam which are used as parameters for the assessment of the level.
There are two versions of this glass level control unit: BZ 23 SH with a water-cooled electrode for mounting in the melting furnace with sensing through the side wall or BZ 23 SV with a ceramic electrode for mounting on the feeder and with sensing through the feeder cover.
